Gandhi Jayanti
Gandhi Jayanti is the national
event celebrated in Pan India to celebrate the birth anniversary of Mahatma
Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2nd October 1869 in Indian
Gujarati Hindu family in Porbandar, Gujarat. Mahatma Gandhi is the role model of
whole India and he is the symbol of nonviolence. The youth of India follows the
footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi. He is the real inspiration for everyone.
International Day of Non-Violence
International Day of Non-violence
is observed annually on 2nd October to remember the principles of Mahatma
Gandhi.
He kept on saying: Ahisha Parmo
Dharma which means nonviolence is the highest moral virtue. There is another
famous dialogue of Mahatma Gandhi and he says if someone slaps on your one
cheek, offer him another one also.
On this day, we remember the
principles followed by Mahatma Gandhi and take a pledge to includes those
principles in our life as well.
World Teachers' Day
World Teachers Day is also known as
International Teacher Day is observed annually on 5th October. The
main objective of this day is to appreciate the contribution of the teacher in society.
Like other international events of the UN, this event is also organized by the
UN worldwide and one theme is decided.
The theme of the world teacher’s day
2020 is Teachers: Leading in crisis, reimagining the future.
International Day of the Girl Child
Girls/females are a very important
part of society. To emphasise the importance of Girls and provide them with
equal rights like boys, this day is celebrated. It comes in October and every
year, on 11th October, this day is observed. The main aim of this
day is to address or highlight the needs and challenges girls face, girl
empowerment and the fulfilment of their human needs.
World Food Day
World Food Day is a global event observed
annually every year on 16th October to honour the date on which the
Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO) was established. It is celebrated in
the whole world and especially by those organizations concerned with food
security, world food program and international fund for agriculture development.
Every year, one theme decided by the united nation and conduct program to
spread awareness in the whole world.

Eradication Day
It is another global event
celebrated worldwide in October. It is celebrated annually on 17th
October. The main objective of this day is the eradication of poverty. This day
provides a platform to all unprivileged peoples to raise their voice and whole
world fight for them. It is another global movement conducted by the UN for the
welfare of the Human being.
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas or National Unity Day
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is also known
as National Unity Day is observed annually on 31st October to
remember the iron man of India, Late. Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He played a
great role in the unification of India. It was introduced by the Government of
India in 2014 that provides the opportunity to the whole nation to remain
united.
